Our Ballet Programs

Pre-Ballet (Ages 3-6)

Our Pre-Ballet class introduces the youngest dancers to the basics of ballet in a playful, engaging environment. Perfect for children ages 3 to 6, this class combines simple ballet techniques with activities that build coordination and spatial awareness. Students learn how to position their feet, hold their arms, and move rhythmically to music, all while having a great time. With 30-minute sessions, Pre-Ballet provides an introduction to dance that keeps young kids interested and motivated. Classes are offered on Mondays and Fridays from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM, for $39 per month, and provide a foundation that kids will build on as they grow.

Pre-Lyrical Ballet (Ages 5-8)

Pre-Lyrical Ballet, geared for ages 5 to 8, blends basic ballet and lyrical dance movements, introducing slightly older beginners to ballet technique. This class helps students develop balance, flexibility, and an understanding of timing and flow. Young dancers learn sequences that teach them to express emotion through movement, a skill they can carry into other forms of dance. Classes are 30 minutes, held on Mondays and Fridays from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, at a monthly rate of $39. Pre-Lyrical Ballet is ideal for kids who love storytelling through dance and want to start exploring self-expression on stage.

Youth Ballet (Ages 7 and Up)

For students aged 7 and up, Youth Ballet offers a more in-depth exploration of ballet techniques and terminology. In this 45-minute class, dancers learn positions, pliés, tendus, and other fundamental movements while improving flexibility and strength. Youth Ballet is also the class where students begin to work on memorizing combinations and learning to interpret music with their movements. This class is a fantastic fit for students with a budding interest in ballet and helps them transition to more advanced ballet techniques. Classes are held Mondays and Fridays from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM, with a monthly rate of $58.50.

What Do Students Learn in Ballet Class?

Each class level is designed to introduce students to age-appropriate techniques that develop confidence, coordination, and grace. In Pre-Ballet, students focus on body awareness, learning simple movements like pliés and relevés. The goal is to get young dancers comfortable moving with balance and control, all while developing a love for dance.

In Pre-Lyrical Ballet, dancers start learning basic technique, like turnout and pointing their toes, while exploring how to move expressively. We introduce them to light choreography and encourage them to move in ways that convey emotions, building both physical and creative skills.

Youth Ballet introduces more structure, focusing on classical ballet positions, technique, and sequences. Students learn barre work and center exercises that develop both strength and precision. With every class, they gain a stronger understanding of ballet terminology and movements, along with the discipline needed for continued progress.
